Role title: Head of operations private banking

To be considered for this role CassonX are looking to identify someone who is an experienced Operations Manager ideally coming from a Private Banking background, or alternatively a Corporate, Retail or International Banking environment. You must be a proven leader with experience of managing staff, budgets and adopting strategies, but have a day-to-day understanding of Payments, Transaction Booking & Settlements (securities), Account Opening / KYC and maintaining client data. Preference will be given to those who have experience of sourcing / hubbing teams, someone who has exposure to CASS, or familiar with the T24 system.

Some of the responsibilities may include:
Support the Private Banks business in achieving their agenda by managing the post sales customer experience to agreed standards of cost, service and efficiency.
Management of the operations budget.
Management of outsourced activities maintaining a strong relationship with counterparties internally
Management of external vendors/suppliers.
Support the efforts to re-engineer/improve any process that impacts the management of customer static data or financial data.
To ensure that existing practices and procedures remain relevant in a changing environment.
Creates a strong control culture and drives acute awareness of relevant internal and external regulations, policies and guidelines across all operational staff by maintaining continuous training and policy orientation.
Ensures that staff feel sufficiently empowered and supported by an effective decision-making framework to minimize delays, inefficiencies and internal/external dissatisfaction arising from unnecessary or excessive referrals and escalations to line of business stakeholders.
To participate in the operations aspects of the development of new products and services.
To develop existing systems to maximize their benefit to the business/customers.
Attracts, retains, motivates and deploys a varied and multi skilled talent pool to assume increasing responsibility for local Operational functions
To provide technical advice, coaching and guidance to subordinate staff.
Ensure adequate reconciliations and substantiation of accounts with minimal to zero ageing breaks
Manage the problem resolution process including – tracking, reporting and problem resolution. This involves the delivery of process improvements to improve the service delivered to clients.
